Artists and literary greats such as George Grosz, Bertolt Brecht, Tamara de Lempicka, Hannah Höch and Christian Schad contributed to the magazine. The free-spirited DIE DAME was published from 1912 to 1937 by the liberal Ullstein publishing house, which was expropriated in 1937.
